The Jordan 8 Shoe For Basketball

The Air Jordan 8 just might be the most underrated pair of kicks in the legendary Jordan line of shoes. Many Jordan shoe fanatics consider the shoe to be too heavy. Perhaps this is due to the extra cushioning that was implemented into the shoe when compared to previous Air Jordan models. Others, like myself, don't look at extra cushioning as a problem on a shoe. Whether you like it or not, the Jordan 8 is one of the more epic Jordan shoes released. Dropped during the 1992-1993 "Three-Peat" Championship season, this shoe was the last Air Jordan that Michael wore before he retired for the first time.

Well, the Air Jordan 8 is back with a new look. The new Air Jordan 8.0 is an updated, performance oriented version of the original 8. The new Nike Flywire technology is used on the upper to increase support and stability. The tongue, cross-straps, pull-tab, midsole, and heel have also been re-designed for increased performance. But the biggest change to the original is the change that has been made to the outsole. The new outsole uses a much more traditional herringbone print in addition to the original dimple pattern that the Jordan 8 used.

There will be a total of 5 colorways of this new shoe dropped in October. Four of those colorways will use a clean white based upper while the fifth will use black. The black colorway was inspired by the original Jordan XIII "Playoff" colorway. One of the first colorways to release will feature a white upper complete with a newly designed strap system. Red will be used on the strap system, inner lining, and the Jumpman logo. It will also use a mixture of red and grey on the midsole. The shoe is finished off nicely with a white rubber outsole. This newly designed shoe has a much more modern look and is built for high performance basketball.

This shoe follows in the footsteps of the new Air Jordan 2.0 that, like the new Jordan 8.0, used the original model and updated it with some of the new and innovative Nike technologies that have been developed over the years. When the original Jordan 8 was first retroed it was one of the most anticipated Retros in the line. This new Jordan 8.0 may be one of the most anticipated new "Hybrids" that Jordan Brand is releasing.

There are plenty of models of the Air Jordan shoes for basketball at the disposal of Jordan Brand that can be updated. At the moment, they don't seem to have a problem updating a large amount of them. If that is the case, I don't have a problem with it either.
